I remember when the Steam Deck had a split keyboard. 🥲

Still upset that they changed away from it, it was so much better.

Especially when you know that captchas are training fucking AI. It's so gross. Can't help but feel like they're intentionally juicing you when you don't get it in the first couple tries.

(this is all a general statement, not directed towards you specifically kirby-person, if that wasn't clear)

You don't have to throw Marxist Theory 101 at people. Just get to know them, their worries, concerns, desires. Share your own. Demystify communism and direct them to a better understanding.

Once saw someone say "Don't let anyone not know a leftist". Ideas of communism are built behind myths, not knowing leftists irl allows that to perpetuate. Talk with the people in your communities, show them you're not evil, just that you know better is possible.

Don't let anyone not know a leftist.

I MEAN, COME ON

It is truly astonishing how awful the cover is. I totally wrote the game off as some House Party-esque frat boy porn party game until I started seeing people raving about it.

Yup, I went from Fedora Workstation > Fedora Kinoite > to now Bazzite (which is based on Fedora) and it's gotten better each time.

It's kept up to date enough to not feel left behind with drivers and stuff for the most part, but not too bleeding edge where it's constantly breaking.

I agree with that general sentiment, but it is very much /not/ the same because of the element of player control. A game released 30yrs ago could be inaccessible for a wide range of reasons (lousy controls, etc). Accessibility isn't really an issue for other mediums.

N/A to Oblivion imo, but still.

Seeing Destiny 2 amongst Nier Automata and Golden Sun is a fantastic contrast. Wonderful taste.

I think this may just be a consequence of how large Elden Ring was. These both seem to be at least somewhat smaller games and were probably just team members that got sent off to work on them after they finished work on ER.

Once these clear up, hopefully it's back to the usual, because same.

For a game I once viewed with absolute apathy, you have been selling it incredibly well to me with your posts recently. lol

Hey man, I hope all is well with you and your loved ones.

It's disappointing that this is a hot take. But yep, agreed.

Among the vocal players.. the screeching can be heard from the moon.

No, that is also intentional. Workers need to be dumb, not curious, and do as told.

They just need workers to keep the system running for them. Smart workers jeopardize that. It doesn't matter if white people aren't well educated, just as long as they're working to keep the cog going.

I've seen those around, but I've really questioned whether they're a cheap gimmick that wouldn't be any better than just regular ol' earplugs or even regular music ear pods with noise cancelling.

I am rather unfamiliar with the process, so I won't be of much help other than this, but this article does a good job of going over the process of downloading it: www.howtogeek.com/260023/how-t...

Unfortunately it's not up to date, only going up to Jan 2024, but it's certainly better than nothing.

Wikipedia is free to download for anyone. You can download every single article, with or without pictures. It's about 100gb for everything (in English), a good bit less without pictures.

People are already starting to backup this kind of data so that it may still be accessible in the future.

That's awesome! Thanks for the update. Keep up the good work.

My biggest criticism would be the lack of a framerate cap. My computer revs up like a suped up chainsaw due to it rendering 500+ fps when booting up the game. Thankfully it's better once in game, because it's not really going above 60 then, but even so, it'd be much appreciated!

Good work so far.

Only a couple hours in, but I am really loving what I've played so far. It's a bit raw at the moment (understandable with it being EA), but I see so much room for growth and am excited to see what comes next.

That said (cont.)

My wrists hurt just thinking about FGH.

JKL is how I played Dark Souls for the first time, for the camera controls. Worked well enough. I'd definitely want no less separation than that though.

In Kingdom Hearts 2 there is a Nobody enemy called Berserker that you can steal it's large sword from and start smashing it with it for a short period.
January 7, 2025 at 12:06 AM
Destiny 2 has enemies with energy shields aligning to certain elements (Solar, Arc, Void, etc.) that if you break with a matching element it blows up in a small AOE doing damage around them.

Similarly some enemies have explosive packs you can shoot for a beneficial explosion.
January 7, 2025 at 12:06 AM
Not much at all honestly, losing everything on death doesn't really grant room for a story to exist. You basically have to reach the end to see the whole story, but roguelikes on average are far too difficult to reach that point so meh.

Roguelites on the other hand they are incredibly valuable imo.
