To me, connecting the Great Redwood Trail with the State Water Project in Tracy, CA would get cyclists from the top of CA to Diamond Valley Lake. Just need to work on a section from the Hemet area to the boarder & we have a whole state trail!

That's the State Water Project, different from the Los Angeles Aqueduct. That aqueduct is 500+ miles and the first 90 miles is already a designated bike trail. I'm riding it this year to prove that the whole thing can be ridden & should be (re-designated) as a bike trail by CADWR.

Thank you for sharing Ken! I'm hoping we can get this designated as a long distance bike trail. I just started jumping into he EXPLORE act to see if there anything there I can pull off of..

Don't fly drones during fires! Especially if the president is in town!

Air traffic was crossing this exact spot all day.

When you put his image side by side with a google earth screenshot from directly above the Upper Canyonback trailhead, we learn that's where he was taking photos.

The only time I cycled down Moorpark is when I ran into a BLM march that had closed the road. Once they got past Whole Foods, don’t seem like the best street for a protest since it’s just the walls of peoples backyards

I remember my first time 🤪 leading against the washer learning how to clip in and out. Loosen your pedals all the way to start!

I so desperately want to put on a MTB race in Sycamore Canyon.

This was a really cool read (with GREAT imagery too!)

I rode my bicycle from the intake to the terminus of the Los Angeles Aqueduct a few months ago. Working on a film about it right now- bsky.app/profile/tren...
I've been working on a multi-year project to ride the three main aqueducts that supply water to SoCal. '24 I did the Los Angeles Aqueduct, '25 year I will do the State Water Project + Colorado. Here're some photos from the LAA.

Also, here's an article from 1987 about the 100 mile High Desert section. It used to not be paywalled, now it is. www.latimes.com/archives/la-...

Last April 20 your section carried an article about the California Aqueduct Bikeway by Anne Z.

Actually, there's bicycle infrastructure on the State Water Project, although it's not consistent. This was on the High Desert section, near the intersection of the LAA and the State Water Project. If you want to talk about these routes+my research, send me an email! TrentSiggardCreative@gmail.com
