This horror comedy features solid performances and some catchy musical numbers but tends to drag between them. Excellent puppetry brings the plant to life and makes one thing certain: we all could've used more Audrey II, both in the movie and out in the world.

It's no surprise Freddy Krueger became a horror icon: creative dream sequences create a surreal tone, and a lead who grows from scared to defiant keeps it engaging. It drags a little at times, but it's still a fun watch.

This dreamlike fairytale draws you in with its mesmerizing black-and-white imagery. Expressionistic acting and storytelling make it feel like a relic from an even earlier era. Though its morality hasn't aged well, it will still leave an impression.

Iceland's rugged coast and the cinematography create a haunting atmosphere. Unfortunately, the characters stay flat and the weak script sinks it. The scares are drowned out by loud music, and the film never delivers on its promise of exploring morality and guilt. Disappointing.
