If we can make it through the next four years.... The world needs a global alliance to ensure real checks and balances, preventing any one narcissist from taking over and turning a nation into a dictatorship—like Trump, Elon Musk, Putin, Netanyahu, and Kim Jong Un.

I just got back from the DMV area. This is basically the Washington, DC and surrounding communities. The economy over there is being devasted. House prices are down because people are having to sell their houses and move. Local business are seeing major drops in patronage....

One thing to think of for the Amazon boycott.... They have the Amazon Web Services as well. A lot of services on the web use this. Most Streaming Services do. I found that Spotify and Paramount+ do not, so those are safe to use. Rest use AWS. Facebook and other social media does as well.

That guy wearing "Tech Support" is a disgrace to the profession. While this guy is gutting agencies that help fend off cyber attacks... I am fending off hackers trying to get into people's payrolls to steal their hard earned money!

Throughout my childhood, I was drawn to shows like Star Trek and Quantum Leap, both of which shaped my perspective on morality, acceptance, and the complexities of human—and alien—ature.

Even with the horrors of news coming out of what is happening in the Executive Branch at the moment, I was encouraged that when I went to a happy hour hosted by the local county Democratic Party had a HUGE turnout. This is in a deep red county. So, there IS hope. I suspect this is going to grow.

IT analogy, an exploit that experts have warned about in our government has been taken advantage of and systems are under attack. Need to remove the security breaches, recover what we can and patch to prevent it from happening again.

Start looking for Open Source alternatives for software use. Don't buy Apple products at all as its VERY hard to do anything open source on Apple. Windows is fine for now.

If the country survives the next four years, we need to get checks and balances solidified, term limits for all branches of government and get rid the the lobbying and campaign finance by private corporations and people.
