If anyone ever needs a custom cake I highly recommend Chocolate Zen. We celebrated my mom's 85th birthday at The Gates on Roblin last night. We requested two custom cakes to reflect the things she is famous for in our family. They did an amazing job and we were all thrilled!

I worked on a national election campaign as a volunteer years ago and know there are long hours involved by knocking on doors and making calls. Thanks to the candidates and volunteers from all parties for stepping up during this election campaign. This is the only way democracy thrives.

My Sunday was made at the grocery store this morning. A woman's debit card was not working after numerous attempts and the couple behind her paid her bill - big smiles on their faces and they were clearly delighted to do it! #bekind
