This paw paw tree has been growing for at least 5 years. It ought to be twice as big and producing fruit, but the deer had had other plans. When I look at it I'm reminded the growth isn't always linear, and everyone is on their own timeline. As long as I'm alive I can continue to grow.

There aren't many trees that I'd say look better without leaves, but the sycamore is certainly one. I'll make a point to visit this beauty throughout the winter.

This black walnut tree is likely older than any person I know and I have hope that it will outlive me. It has weathered the storms and spawned a generation of new growth. As I proceed at a frantic pace, it calmly remains and thrives.
