I use it for curry and other recipes that call for onions so I don't really notice a difference. (The smell when opening a bag is really strong though lol) I'll keep one onion out that requires fresh onions like burgers.

I chop mine up and freeze them in plastic bags. Break apart enough that I think I need for meals
