I feel the same way about the animation industry: I can't afford to live in LA with too much crunch for too little money and no sense of job security just to be laid off to hit another year of "peak profits". Fed up with companies treating their game dev staff in such a disposable way.

Yeah, I got that impression too. Very milquetoast and inoffensive but to the point that there's so little appeal there at all.

I cannot imagine anybody who watches his show is actively seeking out his political hot takes every night. Like at all. I don't understand what his personality even is, aside from laughing too much at other people's jokes. I think that's more of a nervous tic though.

Yeah, sounds like it! Disney finally learned the error of their ways once they lost 4 billion dollars over a single weekend. If that's not considered learning "the hard way", I don't know what is.
