Effigy follows Katie as she returns to her hometown in Leitrim after the man who groomed her as a child dies.

Have been spending some lovely creative and reflective time at The Tyrone Guthrie Centre since Monday. It’s such a gorgeous peaceful place. ❄️

If you are in Manorhamilton, Leitrim Sunday 21st December please join the vigil in memory of Muhammad Khalifa was killed alongside his family in Gaza last week.

Muhammad visited Manorhamilton in 2017 with the Al Helal Football Academy. 💔
REMEMBerIng MUHaMMAD KHaLIFa 2004- 20024 caza, PaLestine A short vigil will be held in the Market Yard on Saturday 21" December at 6pm to remember Muhammad Khalifa who was killed, along with his family, by Israeli strikes last week. Muhammad visited Manorhamilton in 2017 when he was 13 years old. He came with the Al Helal Football Academy from Gaza. It took an enormous amount of planning and paperwork by the charity group Gaza Action Ireland to get them to Ireland and they spent two weeks here being hosted by groups across the country. We were lucky to have the chance to bring them here to Manorhamilton and many people will remember the day of football, fun and solidarity. After the match with the Manorhamilton Rangers Under 13s team, we brought them to Glencar Waterfall and then after to the Bee Park Community Centre for food, dancing and drumming. It was an unforgettable day for both the people of Manorhamilton and the kids and their minders from Gaza. May Muhammad rest in peace and may the all the children of the Al Helal Academy and their families, and all the people of Palestine, be saved from the horror of this genocide.

A text messaging saying - Treasa, I've read the play you sent to Splódar and I find it very, very impressive. It really is gut-wrenchingly honest, brave and immediate. It may need a couple of minor clarifications but it has to go circulate in this bad world.

this world this world will cut you into pieces and leave you to gather up the leftovers to reconstruct on a winter's night. it will demand you to watch as it burns and as it massacres. It will demand you to watch at 3am, eyes squinting at a screen, as it takes a scalpel and scrapes scars into streets you could have visited if it was kinder. when you wake up in the morning an iceberg has disintegrated and entirely families have been killed and you will blame the shake in your hands to anything but the knowing that you can only watch.
