I tried to watch two episodes of it by now and agree with you it's not really worth it. I didn't see Cursed yet, but will check it out. Thanks for the tip!

I've only started mid-series by mistake. I usually prefer to start with book 1. I just have the feeling that in most series you are missing context otherwise.
