Nice argument you have there. Unfortunately I have already depicted me as the smug Colonel Robert Hogan and you as the bumbling Hans Schultz.

Hogan's Heroes was a weird show. It was a sitcom about allied WWII airmen in a German POW camp that premiered in 1965, when WWII vets were entering their 40s.
Lots of guys thought, "Sure, I'll sit and chuckle at a televised depiction of the period of my life where I lived in a Nazi war prison."

This 1827 newspaper printed a (false) report that William Morgan (believed murdered by Freemasons) was seen on a boat to "Smyrna" (present-day Turkey.)
The editor added that if true, then Solomon Southwick (a big anti-Mason) "deserves to have all his teeth pulled out with a common pair of pincers."

Yeah, but in broadcasts and in the stadium, turnovers, interceptions, and fumbles aren’t a scoreboard stat, I don’t think. Basketball scoreboards track fouls, but that’s not the same because fouls can be deliberate. In baseball, “errors” are one of the three stats on the scoreboard.

I get why they’d want to track it as a stat. By why place it right on the scoreboard next to Runs and Hits during the game?

I spent last week in and around Zion National Park and I'm slowly reintegrating back into civilization.
Hiking The Narrows is as cool as advertised. It's a little disorienting walking through slot canyons with literal 1,000-foot-high sheer cliffs.

I don’t normally like to hand it to QAnon followers, but somehow their interests are better represented in the federal government than my own.
Maybe I try to emulate their success by becoming unmoored from empirical reality.

I would argue that anyone who is incapable of honestly answering “how many children do you have?” is not overly transparent.

Good illustration of how QAnon has integrated into mainstream politics.
Here a member of Congress responds to QAnon influencer “Vincent Kennedy” about her efforts to “declas” certain supposedly secret government documents.

An imperial presidency buoyed by populism? Controversy over tariffs? Any student of Jacksonian democracy can tell you what comes next.
That’s right: a nullification crisis followed by whiggery.
