I’ll admit my response to him was not great. But I was not expecting this.

It bothered me not because of the comments, but because of how normal cruelty has become online. The way mockery is framed as truth. The way we justify this and call it humor.

I’m trying to learn from it. I didn’t respond perfectly. But I still believe kindness matters, even when it’s unpopular.

I know because I just saw this over at that other place.

But then you have a faction of right wingers that are convinced that communists are taking over this country.

The biggest problem is that we don’t have politicians fighting for regular Americans. In other words, they need to be more like Bernie

I’ve never even heard the term DezNat until now. But after looking up what it means, I instantly can think of several people that interacted with me, back when I was on Twitter. One of them called me spiritual deceived and evil for not supporting Trump.

My personal opinion is that Trump and the MAGA republicans are dangerous to democracy and I’d love to know what our church leaders think of this. Would they agree with me? I think so, but maybe they wouldn’t. I shouldn’t pretend to know. But regardless, more direction for us members would be nice 👍

I agree with you wholeheartedly. How do you deal with political discussions with members of the church? For me it seems I get called evil or deceived more frequently these days because I vote more left then I did in the past.

Honestly with the hostile political climate of our days, I wish the first presidency and Q12 would be more vocal about the political issues of today. Wished they continued that honestly

This is what I don’t understand. Why are church members so scared of helping the poor, but are perfectly fine with the terrible effects of crony capitalism. I agree tax the rich!
