I agree, but telling a bunch of parents who are volunteering their time to get children to bike to school that their efforts are "harmful" is different from "is not perfect and there is more work to do".

Of a driver is "stuck" behind a bicyclist for going 30 mph under for 10 minutes (unlikely it would be that long), that adds a whole 5 minutes to the drivers travel time. Surely that's worth death or serious injury for the cyclist.
