Proud to join my colleagues and Gov. Kotek for the ceremonial signing of SB 426 at the Carpenters Union Hall. I signed on as a sponsor of this bill because wage theft needs to end!

There is power in collective bargaining!

I was having a relaxing Sunday evening at home when I heard that 8 Senators who caucus with the Democrats CAVED!

I’m feeling pretty frustrated….. how are you feeling?

I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Speaker Emeritus Nancy Pelosi at a couple of different political events over the years. The opportunities I’ve had to bend her ear are political highlights for me.

I hope she enjoys the last year of her term as she enters a well deserved retirement.

Too many people are hurting senselessly.

Here’s information on resources for those who are food insecure or are being targeted by I.C.E.

Proud to be named a Public Health Champ!

As a registered nurse, I know that we are all healthier when we are all healthy. Public health workers do amazing work on the ground, often in places most people won’t go. I celebrate them & all of their unseen but impactful work!

Small town grocery stores operate on extremely tight budgets. They depend on SNAP (food stamps) to keep their doors open. When rural grocery stores close, EVERYONE in the community loses access to food. Not just the Bi-POC, poor and undocumented folks.

Had a great time at the St. John’s Halloween Walk this weekend!

Big thanks to the St. John’s Boo-sters for putting this on and thanks to all who participated in this fantastic community event!

Happy to be on hand for the grand opening of the Center for Addictions Triage and Treatment (CATT) in Washington County.

Centers like this are what we need to ensure that people battling addiction get the support they need to have a successful recovery.

Me and my mom outside of the White House East Wing in 2022. What a happy day this was…. It’s gone now.

What Trump is doing to the people’s house is heartbreaking. He promised the building wouldn’t be touched, so people had no opportunity to see it intact one last time. It’s all incredibly sad.

The construction needs to stop.

Donald Trump’s $250 million dollar ballroom is going to dwarf the White House. At 90,000 square feet, the new ballroom will overshadow the historic 55,000 Sq. ft White House.

I’m proud to have been a sponsor of Senate Bill (SB) 690 & 692, which were recently signed by Governor Kotek. This is policy that focuses on supports & resources for new parents to improve health outcomes & reduce maternal mortality & morbidity.

Thanks to Senator Reynolds for being the champion!

Fora Health Treatment & Recovery does fantastic work. They offer substance abuse & recovery treatment, mental health support and wrap around services to those in need.

I was happy to join them at their recent “Hope and Freedom Gala”.

Big thanks to Governor Kotek for signing SB 1098! I’m proud to be a chief sponsor of this bill.

School districts in Oregon will no longer be able to ban books due to a character or author’s race, sexual orientation or other protected class. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Recently I supported Wonderfolk at their “Big Takeoff” event.

Wonderfolk is an organization focused on building leadership skills in at risk youth.

It was a great event & JT Flowers killed the keynote!

Check out Wonderfolk’s website to learn more.

Donald Trump made big cuts to SNAP (Food Stamps). I have no doubt that this was done at least in part to limit acess to “free” food for undocumented people.

Rural grocery stores operate on tight budgets. When the cuts kick in, we will likely see a wave of grocery store closures in rural areas.

Thankful that the courts have put a check on Trump. I wish we had a president focused on uniting us, not dividing us.

Oregon protesters, please continue to keep any protests peaceful.
