Without the short deadline, psychologically, people go "I have plenty of time to do this. It's not that serious."
And then the realization comes that you've only iterated once or twice before launch without enough playtesting because the prototypes you built didn't account for other factors in the

If only it were that simple. The thing about AAA game dev is that the creation system works based on pressure. Even Indie games will do this.
With a short dealine, developers rapidly iterate using agile methodologies. The deadline is a weapon of psychology, pushing for quick progress.

Honestly, that sounds really nice and quaint. I didn't have enough space to mention it's going to be a cozy game, and I think this could fit nicely into that genre. It's also unique enough to be found easily with a Google search! Much appreciated 👏
