With the current efforts to dismantle the CFPB, it is unclear how the MLA will be supervised and enforced going forward. Veterans Day would be a perfect time for Acting Director Vought to restart supervision and enforcement of the MLA at the CFPB.

Military financial readiness is a national security issue. Service members need to be able to focus on their jobs. When they are worried about being ripped off by a financial company that they should be able to trust, that directly leads to harm in force readiness.

During the first Trump Admin, the CFPB stopped all supervision of the MLA, an important law that protects service members from financial predators. Earlier this year, they suspended MLA supervision once again. After complaints from service members spiked:
