After shoveling heavy snow, I spent the morning planning this year’s garden: I’ll be expanding with two new 4”x8” raised beds plus just ordered all the seeds. Adding tomatillos and jalapeños this year to the mix. My ultimate goal is to use every square inch of my yard for food growing.

What makes these fed buyouts so stupid is people in public service don’t do this for the money. We could make more in the private sector if we wanted. We do it because we give a fuck about things bigger than ourselves. THEY will NEVER understand that because they are greedy narcissistic idiots.

I’ve worked in the nonprofit and public sector my entire 20+ year career. Today is one of the darkest days in public service I’ve ever had, not to mention the personal emotional hit of all of this tied directly to queerness. I’m beyond.
