I’ve relocated my base to Tokyo, Japan and took my first trip outside the city last weekend to Hitachi Seaside Park and Ashikaga Flower Park to see the spring flowers.

Looking forward to more trips in Japan, Europe, and Asia this year!

A brief stop near Jaco, Costa Rica was next on the cruise with my first attempt zip lining. Great views were worth the tropical heat and the long time it took to get to the top.
The Gorn is held tightly by Josh who is wearing a helmet and zip line harness as he waits in line for the next segment of the adventure in a lush tropical setting. Next up on the cruise, I visited the Maya ruins at Iximche’ Guatemala, while a long ride from the ship, it was well worth it to see how people lived in ancient times as well as today.

First two ports of Cabo San Lucas and Puerto Vallarta are in the books. Now a few sea days before getting to our first new country of the trip!

Off to Miami via the Panama Canal. Glad the foggy weather in Los Angeles cleared for a spectacular sunset departure.

The very first trip was to Zion National Park in 1992 over Spring Break with @suzchaos.bsky.social and our other friends. I took the place of @clubjosh.bsky.social who had to work. It could have very easily been the Traveling Mugato, but thankfully I was the one picked.

One of my most recent trips was to Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, and New York back in June 2024.
