I'm still buzzing from my bloody valentine last night. I saw them at EP years ago but this was something else. I was not prepared for the volume and wish I'd better earplugs but it was just amazing. The visuals, the volume, everything! The whole show was just fantastic!

The steam machine needs to be under €450 and preferably more like €350-400 to make sense imho. It's not as powerful as the playstation 5, and doesn't really have enough vram so it needs to be cheaper. That's really the only way to bring it to Sony as far as I can see. Otherwise it'll only be niche.

As a transgender woman and a long-standing advocate for the rights and well-being of the trans community in Ireland, I write to you with profound urgency. The current state of trans healthcare in this country is a crisis of institutional failure, one that has caused untold harm, trauma, and suffering for generations of trans people. The National Gender Service (NGS) - a system long upheld as a model of care - has, in reality, traumatised countless trans lives, perpetuated pathologisation, and failed to meet even the most basic standards of dignity, safety, or access. It is not a "gold standard" but a system that must be dismantled. The NGS has centralised care in a model that is inaccessible to most, pathologised trans identities, and created a culture of trauma and exclusion. It is not a system to be expanded, but one that must be abolished and replaced with a community-centred, depathologised, and integrated approach to trans healthcare. The trans community in Ireland is facing a healthcare system collapsing under the weight of neglect, bureaucratic inertia, and a refusal to centre trans lives. The current model of care, which prioritises institutional control over patient autonomy, has led to catastrophic outcomes: 1. Wait times of over a decade for essential care. 2. Lack of access to primary care informed by trans needs. 3. Continued stigmatisation of trans identities in medical settings. The minister’s response to our community petition which I have included below, while couched in platitudes about “clinical evidence,” “transparency,” and “patient-centred care,” has evaded the core demands of our community: 1. Dismantle the National Gender Service and replace it with a community-based, depathologised model of care that prioritises primary care integration, local support networks, and trans-led decision-making. 2. On behalf of Minister Carroll MacNeill, thank you for your correspondence regarding gender healthcare. As per the Programme for Government 2025, the Government is committed to ensuring a transgender healthcare service based on clinical evidence, respect, inclusiveness, and compassion. A new clinical programme for gender healthcare has been initiated by the HSE and an updated clinical model for gender healthcare services is being developed. The Clinical lead is in place and recruitment is ongoing for the rest of the multi-disciplinary team. The Department has provided funding of €770,000 for 2025 to support the development of the updated clinical model of care for gender. A Clinical Advisory Group has been established and was convened in June 2025 with the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland and work is underway. The HSE commenced the systematic review of the evidence base with respect to co-existing clinical needs in gender diverse people with support from the HSE Library Service. Interim results of this review were made available for public consultation during the month of August 2025. The HSE will now review any submissions and complete the evidence review. Lived experience engagement sessions, attended by a number of advocacy groups, were held in July and September. These sessions were held to inform the development of a plan to maximise lived experience input and ensure effective stakeholder engagement during this clinical process. Developing a Model of Care for Gender Healthcare Services is expected to be a complex process, and the Department of Health and the HSE will work closely together to support this process, ensuring transparency and keeping the patient at the centre. So Pepito managed to break a nail on his back foot while we think he was doing zoomies in the back garden. The vet had to remove it. There was a fair bit of blood but he's ok now. The cone of shame didn't last long as he already managed to chew it and start eating bits off. Chaos Machine 🫩😭😂
