The underlayment is done, so I rolled out the flooring tonight to let it acclimate and I’m obsessed with it 🥹 context: i LOVE poured concrete floors. I really love all the variations in tone. Unfortunately this is heavy AF, like 50lbs, and it was a total bitch getting this rolled out dhfjf

I’m about 2/3rds done installing the underlayment this afternoon, which means I should be able to start on the final layer of flooring tomorrow 🥹

My flooring is here 🥹 I ended up going with this over the tile look for frankly a lot of reasons but man I’m so happy with it, the quality is just really nice, the visual and physical texture is great, and the pattern repeat isn’t noticeable

Tonight I got the middle panel done, which is the one with the trickiest fit 🙏 I taped up the seams on the insulation before gluing the plywood. Pardon the mess, most of this is to weigh the plywood down while the adhesive sets (I stood in the middle when I wasn't taking this pic).

I waterproofed the plywood this past week and I've just started gluing down the insulation. Only a few rows of adhesive in and my hand was already threatening to cramp from the caulk gun 😩

Done cutting the plywood 🙌 I’ll be filling in the gaps, but the seams around the wheel wells are gonna be weak, BUT they will be entirely under the bed in the storage area and will not be load-bearing so it was worth it imo to avoid getting another large panel

flooring samples are here, tho i have one more i need to get from the store. the stone-look is what i'm leaning towards most atm. at the office it looked honestly godawful under the fluorescents, and I was ready to write it off completely, but i think the van has much more forgiving lighting

Took a long break for shark week but the insulation is finally cut out 🙌 I should be able to pick up plywood this weekend and get started on the next layer

I had enough paper 🙏 skipping the rear driver side since I know the rear half of the floor is def symmetrical anyways. Soon it will be cutting time

finally got the iron out today so I could start hemming the curtains. handsewing so I can have a relaxing task. my handsewing isn't the tidiest, but at least it looks fine on the right side. (also i kept referring to these as velvet curtains but it's just a regular weave with a velvet thread)

Picked up 2 sheets of foam board today. Hopefully will be able to start templating the floor this week (and maybe finally use up the miles of brown paper i got in one package 5 years ago LMAO)
