This was very much a hate crime, not just a "shooting". And law enforcement did nothing for them anytime they reported being threatened.

Flashback to the time a conservative I owed wanted an "patriotic" eagle painting, so I made them one but with the flag upside down. Later when they thanked me they spouted scriptures and told me I should in believe in God when I told them I was an atheist.
