I get where you're coming from though sometimes RNG can be a bitch sometimes. I've had my share of lousy sessions where I felt more like a punching bag than a hero in an adventure.

I think it's fine to have mechanics like that so long as it makes sense for the game, though adding some 'sliders' to said mechanics to make them more forgiving is ideal. For example, if you get stunned for a turn, you get a bonus to your save against it that stacks with each turn.

Definitely worth the watch if you wanna experience Fionna & Cake to the max. Season 1 was great and season 2 is shaping up to be just as good.

Yeah graphic design is gonna be one of the more corpo-geared arts majors you can go for. So much of what they do goes through so many hands for design critique and approval for junk like publications or advertisements. Funny enough, my graphic design teacher in high school had the same vibe.

It's a tough line to walk. On one hand, D&D has the audience and making something that appeals to them could draw from that crowd. On the other, if it's too similar to it, what's the point of moving to a new system?
