Since I don't post about the mini-Stinko Pops often, I'll share the last SlimeyJade Stinkies keychain from a couple years ago as well! Drawn in the style of Neco-Arc, another influential feline character on Jade's whole slimey & scampular vibe.
SlimeyJade, a Baja Blast-colored slime cat with goopy green hair tied back in a ponytail, drawn as a marketable chibi keychain. She wears her regular outfit of a hoodie, tank top, skirt and mismatched Converse sneakers in pink and green. Her tank top says "sauce" and has a small sauce stain on it. Her face has been drawn in the style of Neco-Arc with big ol' oval shaped eyes and a perfect 3-shaped cat mouth.

The AFI show was fucking incredible as ever. Was on the rail & we got an amazing setlist, highlight for me being The Face Beneath the Waves.

I found a shiny in hour 1 of our 1st run, then immediately lost it when I whited out at the first trainer.

then on run #2, I found a 2nd & 3rd shiny. one died, the other never got used before we lost that run.

and now on our 3rd run, I find my FOURTH FULL ODDS SHINY? WHAT IS HAPPENING?!?!?!?

I started designing this before the album even came out because I knew I would be obsessed, but I am in absolute love with 'Silver Bleeds the Black Sun...' & made an outfit inspired by it + a second simpler one for emote/meme purposes. Kinda in love with how the darker purple hair + pale pink looks!

More explanation from the artist: They say using AI was due to a time crunch, not succeeding w/ hand-drawn attempts, and being unable to source every element themself.

But I disagree with calling AI "just another tool" when it's built off the stolen works of millions & its high environmental damage
comment by nicknall, the artist for holyvisions.net: No I completely understand people's concerns. In this project, I was working under a tight time crunch. After a few different handdrawn styles that weren't quite landing, I learned into what I know best which is photo manipulation. When I don't have the time to take pics or source exactly what I need, I'll generate certain missing elements, lay them out as a pattern, and blend everything together. For me, it's just another tool in the mix of media I use to create my work I never intend to upset or frustrate anyone with my process, and if this did, I sincerely apologize. My goal is always to create something strong and cohesive, no matter the medium

I hope AFI will learn of the use of AI in their latest promo & not allow it to happen again. There are so many fucking talented artists in the AFI community, anybody could have done better.
