Comes out of the techie/programming circles. You explain a problem to an inanimate object (like a rubber duck) to clarify your thoughts by forcing yourself to articulate it out loud. It's what I call the brainstorming I do with Claude. :)

I've used Claude, but never ChatGPT. But when I've used Claude for rubber ducking or placeholder work, it's always done beautifully.
