Like so many others, we were shocked and saddened to learn about the sudden passing of Senator Bill Ramos over the weekend. Our hearts go out to his family, friends, and colleagues. Senator Ramos was a dedicated public servant and a champion for transit.

Everyone deserves to be safe on transit. Today, TCC attended the first meeting of King County's Regional Transit Safety Task Force. Convened by ATU Local 587 and King County Metro, this task force will tackle the regional challenges that impact transit safety and make interventions and improvements.

Our Executive Director presented it to the Washington State Transportation Commission this morning, and soon he’ll speak at a work session of the Senate Transportation Commission.
