I’d encourage you to do more than vote in the primaries. If you have the ability, volunteering for your favorite primary candidate can make an enormous difference.

The most jarring thing I’ve seen on Xiao Hong Shu is how high their standard of living is. People aren’t going bankrupt for healthcare, people aren’t working 2nd or 3rd jobs, no one’s selling their blood for food, 4 years of college cost $2700, homelessness barely exists

Having had more direct contact with Chinese people in their home country in the past week than I have in my entire life, I think most citizens of both countries would love a closer relationship that’s more collaborative and less contentious.

I deleted Facebook on Christmas and as soon as I tried Xiao Hong Shu, any urges I had to go back disappeared completely.

I wholeheartedly disagree. The models of herd immunity for these other vaccines were created assuming the strength of the average person’s immune system, and as that average gets weaker, all of us become more susceptible to those infections spreading around, even if we ourselves are vaccinated
