Street parking permits should be minimum 10x the current price. And that would value street space at roughly $.25/SF/mo., which is a bit low IMO.

I think our street space is worth more than the nominal fee we currently charge for it.

This section of R St NW in DC has been closed to cars for at least 2 years (maybe more like 4 years, not sure) for a DC Water construction project. I don’t think there is much purpose in reopening it.

Credit to 311, sign replaced in ~1.5 weeks after first submitting request. We will see how long it lasts this time :)

This was a new (<1 month) sign in a new median. All the marks indicate the person who took out the sign wasn’t the only one to drive into this thing. Drivers are dangerous to themselves and others and a fiscal liability for our local governments.
