Can you see the wagon road? How about the second angle (not the bright green one)? These are hundreds of years old. How many do you think are out there, passed by every day?

Felt like I was bomb-proofing a horse there. Franck the Archaeology Dog is so chill. Geo the archaeology dog in training was less bored about it. (We use paper bags for artifacts, desensitizing is useful)

Lovely (though 13.5 hr) drive today for fieldwork. Saw deer, a bighorn sheep, and several birds of prey. I love driving, even this long, and I try to take smaller roads so I can see this stuff.

Take a break and look at this little one

My average field day documenting sites ends up with 15 pages of notes and 70+ photos. Today included that and hundreds of seed ticks. Yay! At least it was a good view.

Back at it, though I think they fired Forest road maintenance as well

My favorite shirt currently. Really soft fabric. Did a few jobs there and visited again for my birthday back in July.

I own one share in REPUTATION, who just won a $100k stakes. Love her pedigree and she's really developed this year. I'll win like, $4 but the real reason I invested was broodmare value later....

That is my Franckie, my heart dog. Full name M. Franck Siriani, DA, from the French TV series Zone Blanche. He is so wonderful and good, you almost can't tell his red highlights because his black fur is so healthy it shines blue. I do everything for him.

Would not have it any other way

I present Geo
He is a Rhodesian ridgeback/hound of a sort, my roommate's
My roomie is out of town so I have full care of Franck the archaeology dog and Geo archaeology dog in training
Because of his heritage, he can bend time and space to be extremely long and flat.
He also talks.
A lot.

Daily Harold: Roan, the only other living member of the same genus as the sable. One of the four largest antelope species, they live in rather small groups, up to 15 individuals. I took this photo at Sisibala in South Africa during my 2019 research season. The Kuruman hills are in the background.

This weekend SCYLLA ran 3rd in a G2. I saw her mother CLOSE HATCHES during her championship season in 2014 win the G1 Apple Blossom at Oaklawn. She is also the dam of TACITUS, multi G2 winner and BATTEN DOWN, G3 winner.

Daily Harold (starting these here; daily facts about bovids): the most magnificent sable I've seen was a taxidermied specimen in the Chicago Field Museum. Native to Africa, they chew bones for minerals and can live for 17 years in the wild.

No cheating. Post the last pic of your pet.

Can a dog be void? Yes.
