I am loving Avowed so far, mostly because of my gorgeous, clocky envoy 💅

I love these overalls! I have a similar pair (the only similarity is that they are black and have flowers)

1.04 Babel - This episode has a very Twilight zone-esque vibe, less of a moral and more of just "get a load of this". A fun episode where every side character acts like a fool. I love the acting in the episode because it must have taken a lot of focus to not feel silly doing it. 7.5/10

This episode introduces the two ends of the queer Star Trek spectrum: Garak, and Major Kira's short hair

1.03 - Past Prologue: Kira's former comrade returns to pull her strings. The liberal idea that there are good and bad terrorists bothered me in this episode before realising that this was 90s America and the idea that any terrorism was acceptable is radical for the time. 7/10

The highlight of the episode for me is seeing Bashir as the saddest little meow meow. This is as far as the show has characterized him.

1.02 - Man Alone: after a strong start with Emissary, we slow to a crawl with an Odo episode. The episode plays out like a police procedural, which I think is a step in the wrong direction. We are shown how proficient Odo is but all of his work is done by others. Giving us the opposite effect 4/10

Picard has to look into the eyes of a man who's wife is dead as a result of his actions and deal with that, while Sisko returns his anxiety with rage. Both of these officers keeps their professionalism intact. Picard has never had to deal directly with someone who was hurt by locutus that we've seen

1.01 Emissary: a great, if a bit muddled, start and introduction to the characters that we will see in season 1. The main character focus is on Sisko and the death of his wife at the hands of the borg. We are not often forced to see the tangible effects of the protagonist's actions on others. 8.5/10
