We’ve joined forces across civil society & have written a joint letter to the HM Treasury advising urgent tax reform on the UK’s heaviest, most polluting cars.

We’re calling for change: a straightforward large vehicle levy, that would raise nearly £2bn for vital public investment.

A big welcome for the scrapping of peak fares on ScotRail network as from today. As our rail policy advisor Paul Tetlaw put it: "No longer will rail travellers be penalised for travelling at peak times when motorists and other road users face no such penalty."

NEW: The Scottish Parliament’s CPG on Sustainable Transport launches its #FutureofFreight work programme.

The first meeting in a series on sustainable freight will be held on 1 October, with speakers from @cleancitiescampaign.org, Royal Mail and @gridsmartercities.bsky.social.
