What we need are standards. As improbable as it may be, this is probably the best time possible for someone to run as an independent. If AOC or someone of similar caliber ran as such, there'd be a pretty solid shot. Failing that, idk, it's a broken system and we're expecting it to function.

Let's consider what the military would do. They would kill people, make people scared to go outside, and likely follow orders that infringe on the most basic rights and liberties of people living in this country, citizen or not. On the other hand is ice. Not much of a choice either way.

Anyone else think fines for major crimes are dumb? I feel like once you surpass the average person's yearly wages, jail or prison time is in order.

He shouldn't be alive. Sadly 3 different people apparently couldn't hit the side of a barn. we'll have to settle for either lifelong imprisonment, a coup, or a 4th guy coming out that can actually aim.

No, if they break the law they should be held accountable in front of a court, ruled on, and sentenced. He could be Jesus Christ and i'd stand by that. Any failure to do so is a failing of the US justice system and a disgrace to the American people.

The French historically had a very cutting age way of getting rid of a corrupt government. Barbaric, sure. An atrocity, absolutely. Did it get rid of the awful people in power, well... heads certainly rolled. Their main issue was it essentially turning into a political witch hunt before ending.
