Very much finding this at home in the UK right now and at dealing with EHRC fallout at work. Worse, our struggles - when I'm transparent about them either at work or with my family - just get uncomfortable reactions, like I'm the asshole for raising it and making them think of a sad thing.

I'm not a music enthusiast or a film enthusiast either, but I am definitely getting a kick out of building my media collection just how I used to in the walkman and mp3 player days, on my linux desktop. It's feeling nice to have a sense of actually owning and controlling shit again!

Literally not once have I ever found a valid use of AI to write my code. And every time the newer coders ask me for programming help I see it's some variant of x y problem, except the asked ChatGPT to generate something and made the situation a whole lot worse.

Aaa thank you! I'm working on doing some TLC one a pair of ZX Spectrums that were found in my partner's grandparents attic, and you'd be more than welcome to one when I'm done. They're a dime a dozen here in the UK but I know much less common everywhere else.
