I'm not demanding anyone give Platner grace here, but people do change. Kat Abaguzaleh was a young Republican. Scott Shepherd was a member of the Klan. And if you insist that everyone you support has a spotless record for all time up to present you get Mayor Pete.

But we have exactly two (2) viable alternatives and that's Mills (who most people commenting here will not like if they look at her actual policies) and Collins who, well, obviously not. Platner is no doubt closer to the working class then either of them.

As someone from Maine, I think James' take on this issue is good. I supported Platner and I was heartbroken to see all the recent news about him (and I may not support him anymore).

Do you have any opinion on LMMS? I've heard it is not as good as most of the Windows-native DAWs but also better than it has any right to be for a free Linux DAW.

I don't think Mills even wants to run for this seat. But there is definitely a problem finding anyone in the state who is actually willing to run against Susan (and has a snowball's chance in hell of winning)
