The Raptors are pretenders How are they doing against teams with a winning record ? The team needs to be re-tooled. Given many of their contracts it will be a major challenge.

Bernie is not the future. Either are the so called "Progressives". To defeat Republicans the Dems must find a "different" voice. The "big tent" is over. Too much anger, false info, self-righteousness & too little capacity to hear one another & a lack of desire to find workable "comprimise".

I wish I was as optimistic as you and others. Yes, the Blue Jays improved but in an overly cautious way. Not nearly as aggressive as multiple others ( Yankees) with a shot at the Series. The detail is too complex for this format.

Can we accept that our starters are overpaid and that we lack both cohesion and balance ? This is not to say that we don't have depth or some very good players. Accepting our obvious weaknesses is a start to rectification. Hopefully our depth can help us restructure.

Surely, the failure of Barnes to garner a vote cannot be a surprise. He remains a very good player, but not nearly as good as Toronto Raptor Management, Toronto media and most fans believe he is. The Raptors very good young core are almost all overpaid.
