(NC/MN) On Subjangle Records. A two-person, long-distance band whose members have spoken directly only thrice. “gloriously catchy and perfectly obtuse” — Janglepophub
We think that one of the nicer things one can do for a band is to just let them know you’re listening to them. 🙏Photo: IG user schnepptune

INTERNATIONAL BAND FACT: A week ago right about now in Sevilla, 1/2 of us had the chance to see a wonderful show by our friends Detergente Líquido, whose song “Camión” we brazenly translated and covered on our second LP. Can confirm: They’re the nicest people ever, and music is the greatest. 💙

Once again, we salute friend-of-the-‘Marks @yourfriendgrace.bsky.social for producing the fastest-turn, song-by-song, capsule reaction to our new album. We like this tradition!

GLOW is out now as a Bandcamp-first release. 💡

UNINTENTIONAL BANDCAMP EXCLUSIVE: Thanks to the unfeeling whims and vicissitudes of digital distribution, it looks like “Glow” will be a Bandcamp-first release. But that’s fine as it directs full attention to CD availability from our new label friend @subjangle.bsky.social. See ya Sunday!💡

Getting ready to throw the switches on album six, released by our friends at Subjangle (@subjangle.bsky.social).

We’re unusually fond of these 12 songs and we hope you will be, too. 💡

We aren’t yet disclosing how many tracks appear on our forthcoming LP, but the cover may carry a subtle hint.

GLOW releases August 31 on @subjangle.bsky.social.

We feel we should observe that yesterday was the last Friday in July — the first such day in five years we didn’t release a new album. That’s because we shook the calendar up a bit to join the roster at Subjangle Records.

Album number six, GLOW, releases on a new day: August 31. Change is good.💡

BAND ANNOUNCEMENT: Behold the cover of our new LP, releasing Aug. 31. But there’s more! We’re lit up to say we’ve joined the roster at the great Subjangle Records (@subjangle.bsky.social) which will issue “Glow” as a double CD with our 2024 release, “Change This Face.” Details soon! 💡

It being April 5, we greet you on the 66th anniversary of the obscure 1959 event commemorated by this glass, which inspired us to write this 2023 song about an imagined encounter there. Guest sax, Johnny Unicorn
