Prophet Song is a jolting cautionary tale that resonates with our time & humanises ‘those others’ on the news. It could be anywhere. It could be here. Lynch renders chillingly plausible the unexpected unwinding of social order, & humanity’s ugliness behind its thin veneer of niceties. A must read!

It’s interesting that there isn’t similar interest in the plight of Uighur Muslims in W. China or Armenian Christians in Nagorno-Karabakh, also facing types of genocidal attacks. War is ongoing on in Ukraine, showing no signs of abating any time soon. Yet all eyes are on Israel & Gaza. Why is this?
