I read about dumbphones this week-you can actually use the concept on smartphones. There are apps that reduce the layout of your screen to words instead of app icons, and typically reduce how many apps you have on your phone, focusing more on communication than entertainment.

I think these are both separate enough niches that attract somewhat overlapping yet different audiences. Those who appreciate more "old school" methods of artistry may still enjoy canvas art and not gravitate towards newer art as other groups might. There is space for both!

Maybe this isn't too much worse than Googling your symptoms. However, I don't think AI (or the web) should be used in place of seeing a physician (even online) because the physician's advice will be tailored to your specific situation while online information is more generalized.

I think that a key trait in leadership is understanding and personally communicating with your employers. AI can be helpful to quickly summarize points, but an overuse of it may build a habit of shortcutting that will leave bosses ignorant of the needs and circumstances of their workers.

I knew of this technology's use in football and swim, but not other sports. After thinking a minute on why the catcher, specifically would have this, I think they are the most difficult position to coach verbally during the game, so this seems a good way to level the playing field (haha)

Do you worry that if this speed that rivals real time is achieved, we will lose the desire to communicate without the mediation of technology? Also, how much faster could speeds get? We can already communicate pretty much instantaneously.

I think it would be super helpful if platforms were more transparent about how algorithms work. We cannot stop the cycle of algorithms reinforcing our biases and cutting us off from social media's diversity if we do not first notice how algorithms contribute to this process. #comm345

I think sometimes, when there's a new innovation that addresses one problem we have, we jump on it and don't pause to think about what other issues it may bring up. I believe those improving connectivity also have the resources improve security measures, but will they?
