On this first of many Economic Blackouts, I started this book. Ms. Keene is a terrific storyteller, & I don’t want to put it down!

Here I am a few years ago walking along the Gulf of Mexico. I even stayed at a hotel on Gulf of Mexico Dr. Did Goggle (yes, I changed the name of the maps app) change the name of the street, also? Oh, and my store was out of eggs!

Senses of hearing, sight, smell,touch & taste. Keeping alive a 100+ yr. family farm tradition of making cane syrup.

Finally,after hurricane repairs, & a mechanical hiccup at 5:30 am, cane syrup is boiling. Family tradition of field to bottle.

It’s been several days since I’ve said it, “Thank you President Biden.”

A month ago I was enjoying the fog at Bodega Bay & feeling hopeful about America’s future. Today I added Joni’s ‘Send In the Clowns’ to my playlist.
Time to roll up the sleeves some more. Well, maybe after a good night’s sleep.
