Aren't they? The same language, in the same laws, allow them all to get IEPs right? And both get accommodations from society. And both are afforded legal protections that the able bodied don't have. So yeah, I'd say in some ways, being in a wheelchair and being a hyperactive kid are treated the same

It's not that people think they're faking disabilities. It's that the definition of disability has expanded so far in the last twenty years. You will never convince some that ADHD and paraplegia should be treated similarly by society.

Oh, it's just a stupid one then. Trans kids should get to play sports like other kids, and I imagine they care about winning in similar proportion to cis kids (which is to say most of them in organized sports).

"Winning isn't everything" isn't the convincing argument you think it is. Would you agree to trans participation (which should be allowed in some form) if their teams technically forfeited all games but played them out for fun? If not, why not?
