Currently Reading: The Mythic Dream. (Various) Some real gems in this anthology. My Favorite story so far is Sarah Gailey's reimagining of Thetis in 'Wild to Covet'. Liked it so dang much, I bought the River of Teeth series to read next.

It's begun - outline for Star Tracers book 7. I mostly write by the seat of my pants (aka a 'Pantser'), but I do give myself a basic set of chapter ideas and goals I'd like to or need to accomplish.

Currently catching up on the July Grand Sumo Tournament. NHK has it up on YouTube. My favs include Ura (how can you not love him), the vet Tomawashi because his skill & exp always makes the match interesting, & newcomer Aonishiki. Where my fellow sumo fans at, Bsky?

Happy World Bee day! One of my favorite bees is the Carpenter Bee. Many consider them pests because they can be destructive, but you can easily provide alternative nesting for them. They are important native plant pollinators in North America. Here's one on my butterfly bush.

Got a tiny fright this morning when I went to go fill my coffee pot and found this baby grackle staring back at me.
Parents are around. Will keep checking on it, but its fledgling season here, so I'm sure it's just getting its wings.
Grackles are awesome, btw. Very expressive.
