Students want to be seen and heard. I think too many people overestimate the need to have full solutions to every problem. Of course, we want solutions. But just the act of relating to students, encouraging them, and showing basic human decency goes SO much further than many people realize.

I’m a big college sports fan and I think all of the above should happen. Then again, I haven’t spent the last decade using DEI as a dirty word.
