How are you going to "stand with" them? Will your members continue to work on Disney projects or will they have the courage to stage a walkout?

The problem is, he doesn't just frame the other side's argument in its most fair form, he often gives it legitimacy and rationality that they never intended or possessed. Pretending grifters are actually trying to accomplish good distorts reality just as much as a strawman argument does. 2/2

I've learned from listening to his podcast that Ezra's favorite rhetorical tool is "the steelman" (i.e., the opposite of the strawman). I'd never heard the term before listening to his show but he's probably said it a dozen or more times this year. 1/

Mark, you left out what's happening to those of us with private, employer-subsidized insurance, where costs are also skyrocketing and coverage is shrinking. It's all terrible. Half-measures have failed.

No doubt, it's just that they seem to be doing everything possible to ratchet up the punishment this year.

84-78, 1 game out of the WC, would be much more painful, just sayin'.

My bosses - with various companies over the years - were uniformly terrified of being accused of liberal bias. Trump is just building on the foundation created by Limbaugh and many other demagogues.

As someone who used to work in local media, I can tell you that is not it. Instead, media companies have been bullied into bending over backwards to avoid complaints from the right. It goes back to Rush Limbaugh, and before, but Rush was very successful at creating the myth of the left wing media.

Grit. It's always grit.

I thought his dad was making America "English-only"? Seems like Donnie Jr. needs a refresher.

Only if we let them. 2026 is SO important.

1. Bullshit.

B. It must be challenging to live in fear for your safety 24/7, never knowing when or if masked thugs might show up at your door to take you away.

I think we can all agree that "not quite as inept as the cops in Uvalde" isn't where we want to be.

This is getting to the lie the Trump tariffs are based on: the idea that it's possible to quickly replace foreign products with American-made alternatives. It certainly can't be done in 3 months and it can't be done affordably.

That's a great sports talk show segment idea. Not one based in reality, but a hell of a hot take.

Might say he's the Duke of fascism.

See you there - Joe Schwarz and I will be repping Do Something MO!

As a Royals fan, I would love to see the Yankees sign Hunter Renfroe and put him in their lineup.

Well, you see, Jac's minor league HRs are legit, not like the ones hit by Cam. #myfanlogic

I don't understand why you're so hellbent on defending a guy who will go down as the person who did the most to enable the Trump fascist takeover. Biden's inability to sell his policies as president hobbled the entire party and his disastrous reelection campaign handed the government to Trump.
