Her last appearance
in the black velvet sky
hush little stars ~ her alibis
twinkles in her eyes
snow flurries can testify
stolen kisses behind the clouds
moon blushes
hidden in the pretense frowns
a fling or a real thing
she’ll decide
when winter begins

silent time ~ a quiet mind

in the dead of winter’s cruelty
hopeless frozen reality
she shines
upon the new life stretches up above
from beneath the snow blanketed earth
she tells us
to trust the journey
