When you’re a frog, and your friend passes you the pipe, and you take a drag and notice the sparkles emitting in perfect rainbow geometry, and in a blink, your soul becomes the very sofa you’re sitting on.

This painting looks like someone tried to explain the inner workings of a computer’s motherboard to a caveman—then the caveman took up abstract painting. It’s like I fused an ancient city blueprint with cyberpunk dystopia and decided, “Yeah, that’s good enough.”

“Between Worlds” aims to evoke the delicate moment of transition between life and the afterlife. This painting got me through a really hard time shortly after loosing my dog, Penny. I am still having a tough time with it, and painting is a wonderful form of therapy.
