22 years ago, the #Ford400 took place. This was the last of a bunch of things for #NASCAR. Last under the #Winston banner, last with #Unocal76, last full season with #Pontiac, the final Cup win for #BobbyLabonte, final full season with #BillElliott, & final under the old points system

Happy 69th birthday to The Iceman Texas #TerryLabonte. He's 3rd on #NASCAR's all time starts list with 890. Some fans seem to forget he's a 2-time champion with one coming from Hagan Racing and the other with Hendrick Motorsports.

33 years ago, the #Hooters500 took place. A lot happened that race. 6 drivers battle for the championship, #AlanKulwicki won the championship by 10 points, #RichardPetty ran his last #NASCAR race, and #JeffGordon made his Cup debut. It's one of the greatest races in the sport.

33 years ago, the #Hooters500 took place. A lot happened that race. 6 drivers battle for the championship, #AlanKulwicki won the championship by 10 points, #RichardPetty ran his last #NASCAR race, and #JeffGordon made his Cup debut. It's one of the greatest races in the sport.
45 years, #NASCAR ran its last race at #OntarioMotorSpeedway. Benny Parsons won the race while Dale Earnhardt won his 1st championship of 7. The track would close 1 month later due to financial troubles and lack of fan interest.
