I win the internet for today, good sir
That's my experience so far as well (but oldest is only in 7th so who knows), but also what even is the "anti-bullying stuff"? I don't feel like my kids got any intense preventative indoctrination, there's just "no bullying zone" signs around... Is that all it takes?

It's called the free market

I would be SO surprised, personally

I think this happened in William Gaddis's JR

What does this diagram mean? Is the star where we are, or is it a label on the arrow pointing to where we are? What's the relationship between the two pink blobs? And what does she circle represent? Thank you

One for mud and one for laundry

Thank you, I was trying to put my finger on it

Interesting, it seems they just needed to upload some recordings and ask ChatGPT if whales had a language, and it responded, "what an insightful question! Whales may possess a communication system more intricate than your own, one that possibly predates human language by tens of millions of years."

This always annoyed me because it didn't leave much rhetorical room for legalized cocaine

I do it for the adrenaline rush!

This is symbolic, your subconscious is trying to tell you something. The avocado the size of a pumpkin represents a pumpkin the size of an avocado

Makes sense, the smarter you are about leveraging powerful tools like AI, the further you will be able to advance

It's crazy, Nephew is mind blowing when you read it in publication order! And Wardrobe is such a good first book, you're in Narnia by like page 4 (contrast with Harry Potter still shopping for school supplies a hundred pages in)

I remember kids saying that it was so funny and I thought I must be missing context. But I finally saw the movie in the last couple years and I wasn't! I don't get it!

Very funny that the book doesn't really have much of a story, it's basically *only* the artwork

If it's not a joke gift then he probably cleans it

Lawyer who added that part to the TOS: Great news guys!

There's a guy I see a lot on the train in the morning that wears a pince-nez to read his phone. No chain, pretty clean and modern looking for that techno-Victorian look

Less? How profitable do they think it appears?
November 24, 2025 at 7:09 PM
Oh man I forgot about that. Weren't they saying they were going to do humans a couple years ago? And then never mentioned it again...

Spent four years in the mountains of Tibet, learning forbidden accounting forms from the monks

Maybe the "aggressive accounting" is going to mean the impact is somewhat contained? Since all the data center plans are supposed to be paid for with theoretical money, they can just not happen when the money turns out not to exist...

"We should just stop burning fossil fuels" is a true statement, but also misses the point: it has been true for the last quarter century, and we just keep burning more. Someone is inevitably going to try this because nobody's doing anything else and nobody can stop them.

The fact that even an upstanding Republican who had devoted his whole career to election integrity was driven to this, just to compete, demonstrates just how bad the Democrat election tampering must be
