When I was diagnosed with rectal cancer in my 30s, I turned to the ocean. I think cold swimming helped keep my cancer from spreading.

I just purchased a swimsuit, a towel that folds into a beach bag, and a sweater from Hudson's Bay Company, during their foreclosing sale.
The lady at the register said "you could go for a swim right now!"
So I did. I drove straight to the lake, where the water is 4C. It was glorious.
