Trump's tactic is simple. Dictate what others (namely allies) should do to "solve" a problem. Take the credit for "solving" the problem and reap the benefits. Whenever things go down south, just blame the others for not doing enough, avoiding responsibility.

The only difference is that Trump will "force" European nations to be the ones stationing troops in Ukraine instead of the US, so when Russia eventually proceeds with its future invasion, Trump can just blame the Europeans for not doing enough to protect the "US interests abroad".

We had the equivalent of the Munich agreement with the previous Minsk agreements. The only thing left is for Putin to surprise Trump in the future the same way Hitler surprised Stalin in the past: by invading the rest of Ukraine, taking what was agreed to be "rightfully" possessed by the US.

One of my Japamese friends is also desperate to leave his job in Japan and move to Portugal. He may not earn as much here, but he certainly would have a balanced and healthier life. I was shocked to know he broke up with her girlfriend and ended up in hospital due to work.
