If the explosion penetrates the hull it may cause any high explosives in the tank (ie any rounds/ordnance) to detonate. Or set fire to any propellant. This can all make the tank explode. Also if you detonate enough explosive close enough to another ‘lump’ of explosive, that ‘lump’ will also explode.

Factors include position of the mine relative to the tank, if it has a shaped charge (which will penetrate greater thickness of armour), thickness and shape of armour.

Depends. It might say blow a track and prevent it moving ‘M-Kill’ or make it totally inoperable ‘K[catastrophic]Kill’.

Ditto outside a tank. For comparison an anti-tank mine typically contains 3 to 5kg of explosive.
