although, I do understand if people don't wanna switch over because of the not-so-great support with some major proprietary software, especially in the arts

Their issue is more they lose people because they take too long to get to the point. You have those who stay informed on politics; those people are not who you need to be focused on. They need to focus on the voters who have a 30-second attention span and who don’t know basic policy. Keep it simple!
